Presales Engineer (OT Security)

TL;DR

Presales Engineer (OT Security): Designing and delivering cybersecurity solutions for Operational Technology and Critical Infrastructure environments with an accent on PoCs, reference architectures, and technical sales enablement. Focus on mapping global compliance standards to security products and winning strategic industrial customers.

Location: Must be based in Germany (Hybrid: primarily home-office with access to offices in Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg)

What you will do

• Deliver customer-focused product demonstrations showcasing hirify.global’s security technology and innovation.
• Plan, set up, and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate cybersecurity design solutions.
• Conduct technical enablement sessions and workshops for partners to deepen their technical expertise.
• Collaborate with sales teams and solution architects to build secure, scalable architectures for strategic customers.
• Map global compliance, laws, and regulations of OT and Critical Infrastructure systems back to hirify.global products.

Requirements

• Fluent German and English (approximately 80% of interactions in German, 20% in English).
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with OT/ICS/SCADA environments (PLCs, RTUs, HMI, Historians).
• 4-6 years of experience in technical pre-sales support as a systems engineer.
• 4-6 years of experience in LAN/WAN and Internet services administration.
• Knowledge of Industrial Security Policies and Standards (IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO 27XXX, NERC-CIP).
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, partner events, and industry conferences.

Nice to have

• Experience dealing with industrial clients in Power, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Transportation, or Smart Buildings.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols such as EthernetIP, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 104, and OPC.
