What you will do

• Design and deliver engaging enquiry-based English lessons for Grades 6-7, utilizing technology to enhance instructional delivery.
• Mentor, coach, and serve as a model teacher for Apprentice Teachers.
• Set ambitious academic goals for students and provide consistent, data-driven feedback to ensure progress.
• Collaborate with learning designers and Deans of Instruction to refine and improve teaching practices.
• Maintain regular communication with parents via email, phone, and conferences.
• Contribute to co-curricular programming and participate in school committees and supervision duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor’s Degree with a PGCE (Intermediate/Senior Phase).
• Valid SACE registration (registration number and certificate required).
• Proven classroom experience teaching English at the Intermediate Phase.
• Valid Police Clearance (not older than 6 months).
• Ability to lead a classroom independently and a deep passion for student-centered learning.
• Work permit required if not a citizen of South Africa.
