What you will do

• Act as the technical expert for Smart Factory and Edge architectures in multi-site, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Define and validate edge-to-cloud data flows, including payload schemas, naming conventions, and data quality rules.
• Implement industrial connectivity patterns using protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and REST.
• Drive architecture decisions for ingestion, storage, and analytics using Azure, AWS, and Snowflake.
• Coordinate network and cybersecurity readiness, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles and factory segmentation.
• Own the go-live process, managing integration testing, cutover, and operational handover.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in industrial IT/OT, smart factory, or manufacturing digitalization roles.
• Proven hands-on experience implementing edge-to-cloud integration in real factory environments.
• Deep understanding of ISA-95, OT network segmentation, and core OT systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, MES).
• Professional experience with cloud architecture on Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong fundamentals in networking, including firewalls, VLANs, routing, and certificates.
• Must be based in Europe.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IEC 62443 or other OT security frameworks.
• Experience with Kubernetes at the edge or cloud (AKS/EKS) and IaC (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with industrial historians and time-series stacks (e.g., AVEVA, PI).
• Experience building and operationalizing Digital Twin solutions.
