What you will do
- Develop conceptual models and experimental setups for distributed systems in degraded communication environments.
- Evaluate research outcomes against end-to-end C4ISR architecture and guide architectural decisions.
- Supervise PhD researchers to ensure hypotheses and experiments remain ambitious and relevant.
- Contribute to research applications for programmes like the Danish Innovation Fund and European Defence Fund.
- Communicate technical findings to engineers, architects, and operational defence stakeholders.
- Ensure research-driven features meet quality attributes including security, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networks, or a closely related field is a firm requirement.
- Proven track record at the boundary between research and industry.
- Hands-on experience in wireless infrastructure communication within defence or operational research.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture principles for distributed, networked systems.
- Practical experience with cybersecurity, including encryption, threat modelling, and secure communication.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
