What you will do

• Build reliable, well-designed backend systems for customer-facing, mission-critical services at scale.
• Own features end-to-end, contributing to technical direction and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product, and design teams to ensure real user impact.
• Implement clean code and pragmatic problem-solving to maintain platform stability.
• Debug and refactor systems to ensure high performance and scalability.

Requirements

• Strong experience building backend services using Python or another modern backend language.
• Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and OO design.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, and distributed architectures.
• Proficiency with databases and version control systems.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the London office (1 day per month)
