About the Role

You will model and validate the economics of Aave products including yield mechanics rate dynamics risk parameters and scenario analysis. You will contribute to the design of new products and protocol mechanisms alongside engineering and product teams. You will support growth decisions where quantitative input is valuable such as asset listings and incentive design. You will build tooling and dashboards to enable quantitative reasoning across the organization.

Requirements

• Strong quantitative foundation comfortable with stochastic processes optimization simulation and statistical modeling
• Deep DeFi fluency understanding how lending markets AMMs and rate models work and experience tracing failure modes such as liquidations depegs oracle issues and MEV
• Engineering capability to prototype models and read or contribute to Solidity well enough to collaborate with smart contract engineers
• Excellent communication skills able to explain quantitative work to non-quant stakeholders including founders partners growth and product
• Bias to ship treating models as decision support tools and delivering work that influences what gets built
