What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of reliable Java microservices for finance core and reconciliation systems.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, acting as the technical bar-raiser for the group.
• Audit, maintain, and optimize existing repositories to ensure scalability and performance.
• Drive automation through rules engines, validations, and alerts to eliminate manual reviews and errors.
• Mentor teammates via code and design reviews to elevate overall engineering maturity.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience in Java SE and frameworks like Spring / Spring Boot.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and object-oriented analysis and design.
• Proficiency with Relational and Non-relational Databases.
• Experience with Cloud Providers, preferably AWS or GCP.
• Ability to adapt quickly to and work with Python codebases.
• Must be based in Montevideo, Uruguay or Buenos Aires, Argentina.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1) is mandatory.
