What you will do

• Complete layout and verification of analog and mixed-signal designs using industry-standard CAD tools.
• Collaborate with design engineers to achieve optimal circuit performance and high-quality layouts.
• Create accurate layout floorplans and provide area estimates.
• Provide clear schedule updates to senior staff and management.
• Contribute to complex IC development projects and document knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be based within a commutable distance of Edinburgh or willing to relocate.
• Understanding of semiconductor physics and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to solve layout design problems and provide innovative solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven record of meeting deadlines while maintaining quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with IC design CAD tools and foundry PDKs.
• Knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal layout techniques.
• Understanding of ESD, Latch-up, parasitic effects, EMIR, LDE, DFM, and Antenna effects.
• Proficiency in floor planning, block assembly, and routing.
• Experience with layout matching, isolation, shielding, and dummy devices.
