What you will do

• Collaborate with technical leads to develop comprehensive performance test strategies and plans.
• Design and execute load, stress, soak, spike, and scalability tests using JMeter.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for automated performance runs and reporting.
• Analyze telemetry, logs, and metrics to identify performance bottlenecks and perform root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior team members and advocate for quality standards and best practices.
• Communicate performance findings, risks, and optimization recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be based in Costa Rica
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on performance engineering or performance testing experience
• Strong proficiency with JMeter and Groovy/Beanshell scripting
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, or C#
• Deep knowledge of databases, SQL, and Azure components
• Excellent English communication skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with APM tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, or Azure Monitor
• Experience with KQL queries and Application Insights
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and JSON structures
