Location: Must work in the office 4+ days per week in Santa Monica, CA

Salary: $133,000–$235,000 (varies by pay zone)

What you will do

• Implement engine and rendering features across Lenses, Games, and Spectacles.
• Collaborate with core engineers to integrate new algorithms into the Lens engine.
• Optimize rendering algorithms for mobile GPUs and wearable AR hardware.
• Research and adopt advanced rendering effects for efficient mobile performance.
• Utilize profilers and deep hardware knowledge to achieve peak performance.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience.
• Strong C++ coding skills and computer science fundamentals.
• Strong 3D math and trigonometry skills.
• Proven knowledge of software and hardware rendering pipelines.
• Must be able to work onsite 4+ days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenGL, Metal, Vulkan, or DirectX APIs.
• Experience with GLSL, MSL, HLSL, or Compute shaders.
• Experience with PBR and custom graphics algorithms.
• Background in optimization for mobile or console GPUs.
• Personal 3D rendering projects.
