Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure): Designing and maintaining secure cloud architecture and infrastructure automation for federal IT modernization with an accent on IaC and federal compliance. Focus on deploying Terraform templates, managing AVD environments, and optimizing GitLab CI/CD pipelines to ensure system resilience and audit-readiness.

Location: Hybrid, On-site 4 days/week in Washington, D.C. (20036) and 1 day Telework. U.S. citizenship and Secret-level security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VNets, Storage, Azure AD, and PaaS services.
• Develop and maintain Terraform templates as the primary Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab using PowerShell, Bash, and YAML/JSON.
• Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools and FSLogix profile containers.
• Ensure cloud security and compliance aligned with NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP frameworks.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and security staff to support ongoing cloud modernization efforts.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or higher.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to commute to Washington, D.C. and work onsite four days per week.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure services and Terraform IaC.
• 3+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and 4+ years of PowerShell scripting.

Nice to have

• Prior experience supporting DoD or civilian federal agency cloud programs.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or AKS.
• Experience with Azure serverless services such as Functions, Logic Apps, and Event Grid.
• Knowledge of FinOps or Azure Cost Management for cloud spend governance.
