What you will do

• Act as the technical lead for Machine Learning Engineering and MLOps across the London Market.
• Design and evolve production ML patterns, covering deployment, orchestration, monitoring, and retraining.
• Partner with platform teams to build a scalable ML Platform with CI/CD, lifecycle management, and observability.
• Define best practices and guardrails for AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity and maintainability.
• Provide hands-on technical mentorship to MLEs and Data Scientists to raise overall engineering standards.
• Ensure ML systems meet strict architecture, security, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a senior or principal MLE delivering production ML systems at scale.
• Exceptional Python skills with strong software engineering fundamentals (OOP, testing, design patterns).
• Deep expertise in MLOps, including online/batch model serving and lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployments.
• Expert knowledge of Git-based workflows, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and automated pipelines.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from London or York on a hybrid basis.
