What you will do

• Design and maintain core software components for Apex.Grace and Apex.Ida.
• Build new platform capabilities, middleware features, and runtime infrastructure.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform stack.
• Debug and resolve complex system-level and distributed software issues.
• Develop automated tests, CI workflows, and developer tooling.
• Collaborate with product and applications teams to deliver production-quality software.

Requirements

• Must be based in Munich
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design skills.
• Excellent programming skills in modern C++ and experience with Python.
• Experience developing software on Linux-based systems.
• Hands-on experience with middleware technologies like DDS, shared memory IPC, or ROS.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across complex software stacks.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROS 2 and robotics software ecosystems.
• Familiarity with automotive software architectures like AUTOSAR.
• Experience with real-time operating systems such as QNX.
• Knowledge of safety-critical software standards like ISO 26262.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and low-latency communication.
