What you will do

• Develop and optimize advanced proteomics workflows, including protocols for single-cell, spatial, plasma, and clinical proteomics.
• Operate and maintain mass spectrometry platforms, including calibration, basic maintenance, and automation of sample preparation.
• Manage large-scale, high-throughput proteomics studies involving hundreds to thousands of samples.
• Analyze data and provide technical support, experimental design assistance, and training to internal and external researchers.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of the Structural Proteomics Unit through resource planning and new protocol introduction.

Requirements

• PhD in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or chemistry.
• At least 5 years of experience with bottom-up proteomics by mass spectrometry, including sample preparation.
• Fluency in English for working in an international research environment.
• Proficiency with proteomics search engines such as MaxQuant, FragPipe, Dia-NN, or Spectronaut.
• Practical experience operating and troubleshooting LC-MS platforms and implementing methods at the spectrometer.
• Experience in at least one area: plasma, spatial/tissue, clinical, or single-cell proteomics, or sample prep automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with DIA for global untargeted proteomics.
• Familiarity with Astral, Hybrid, or Tribrid Mass Spectrometers.
• Experience with large cohorts, patient sample sets, and QC benchmarking.
• Expertise in glycoproteomics, metabolomics, or lipidomics and their data analysis.
• Experience applying machine learning to proteomics data analysis.
