Systems Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Own technical specifications, translating business requirements into user stories or functional specifications with acceptance criteria.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and analyse impacted processes and supporting technologies.
• Design and review solution options with Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, testers, and software vendors.
• Support developers and testers during implementation, testing, defect triage, and root-cause analysis.
• Lead workshops covering requirements gathering, solution design, and technical problem-solving.
• Drive continual improvements and support complex deliveries spanning multiple applications and technologies.

Requirements

• Experience integrating complex software applications and understanding application functionality, workflows, and processing behaviour.
• Strong ability to analyse source and target systems, including functional logic, data models, and data flows.
• Experience designing, documenting, and reviewing SOAP and REST API specifications.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical designs and specifications.
• Experience working with third-party software vendors, technology partners, and software houses.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts and design implications to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Understanding of database schemas and experience writing SQL.
• Exposure to insurance or other regulated financial services.
• Understanding of Azure cloud architecture, principles, and components.
