Solutions Architect (Cloud)

TL;DR

Solutions Architect (Cloud): Supporting the design and delivery of distributed systems for a global data processing platform with an accent on cloud infrastructure, containerization, and high-volume data analysis. Focus on building scalable, resilient, and secure architectures within highly regulated U.S. Federal Government environments.

Location: Must be based in Patrick Space Force Base, FL. Primarily onsite, up to 5 days/week.

What you will do

• Support the design and implementation of cloud-based platforms and distributed systems.
• Contribute to architecture decisions across cloud infrastructure, networking, and system design.
• Work with engineers and stakeholders to translate mission needs into technical solutions.
• Build, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud-native applications and services.
• Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for system design and architecture decisions.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoW clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or architecture roles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerized environments.
• Strong programming ability in Python and a typed language (Java, Kotlin, C#, etc.).
• Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts (SAML, OAuth).
• Ability to work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base, FL.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML platforms (Vertex AI) and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and Linux administration (RHEL).
• Experience building data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government programs.
