What you will do
- Lead the month-end close process, including reviewing journal entries and complex financial schedules for domestic and foreign entities.
- Serve as the primary finance point of contact for multiple business units and labels, ensuring accurate financial reviews and accruals.
- Manage group reporting requirements, including intercompany variance reporting and tax packs for parent company collaboration.
- Oversee SOX compliance, internal controls, and partner with auditors on statutory and group-level audits.
- Champion finance transformation projects, including system integrations and the development of scalable workflows.
- Mentor senior and junior team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 6+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior individual contributor capacity.
- Must be based in New York City and able to work from the office 4 days a week.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, and SOX compliance.
- Experience at a global, publicly traded organization (Big Four background strongly preferred).
- Proficiency in SAP and experience with finance transformation initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
