What you will do

• Lead the month-end close process, including reviewing journal entries and complex financial schedules for domestic and foreign entities.
• Serve as the primary finance point of contact for multiple business units and labels, ensuring accurate financial reviews and accruals.
• Manage group reporting requirements, including intercompany variance reporting and tax packs for parent company collaboration.
• Oversee SOX compliance, internal controls, and partner with auditors on statutory and group-level audits.
• Champion finance transformation projects, including system integrations and the development of scalable workflows.
• Mentor senior and junior team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior individual contributor capacity.
• Must be based in New York City and able to work from the office 4 days a week.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, and SOX compliance.
• Experience at a global, publicly traded organization (Big Four background strongly preferred).
• Proficiency in SAP and experience with finance transformation initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
