What you will do

• Design and build high-performance, secure UI and APIs for AI-driven scientific applications.
• Develop and manage diverse database schemas including SQL, NoSQL, and Vector DBs.
• Drive fullstack development focusing on performance, maintainability, and reliability.
• Optimize system bottlenecks to ensure high availability across large-scale workloads.
• Leverage AWS, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices for production-grade deployments.
• Collaborate with ML researchers and scientists to integrate data pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience building and deploying large-scale production systems.
• Strong backend expertise with fullstack proficiency in React, TypeScript, FastAPI, and Python.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants for productivity.
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with scientists and product teams.
• Ability to take ownership of complex backend challenges and scalability trade-offs.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Domain background in life sciences or material sciences.
• Experience with lab automation, robotics, or hardware drivers.
• Familiarity with orchestration platforms like Airflow, Prefect, or Temporal.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitHub Actions.
