What you will do

• Own and drive the artistic vision of the project, ensuring consistency across all visual elements.
• Act as the key decision-maker for all art-related matters and deliverables.
• Guide and mentor the art team, helping to grow their skills and maintain motivation.
• Create clear and detailed art briefs, style guides, and visual bibles.
• Collaborate with production teams on scheduling, planning, and milestone tracking.
• Foster a collaborative, inspiring, and inclusive art culture within the team and studio.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of industry experience in game development, with at least 2–3 AAA shipped titles.
• Prior experience as Art Director on large-scale or complex projects.
• Strong visual storytelling skills and traditional art fundamentals.
• Deep knowledge of current workflows, pipelines, and game engines (e.g., Unreal, Unity).
• Excellent critique skills and the ability to guide others toward artistic excellence.
• EU-based willing to relocate to Malta or Poland, or travel to our studios for extended periods during critical development and delivery phases.
• Fluent in English or a native English speaker.

Nice to have

• Experience working with distributed teams and outsourcing partners.
• Previous experience with cinematic or stylized visual development.
• Multilingual (especially Polish or another European language).
