What you will do

• Setup, install, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical/electrical equipment, automatic machines, and process controls.
• Execute preventive maintenance activities for production and building equipment to ensure reliability and output capacity.
• Troubleshoot and correct faulty logic and control circuits, including low-to-high voltage electrical work.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to determine optimal repair procedures and maintain critical component inventory.
• Function as a Medical First Responder within the Fiber Plant.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and adhere to all safety policies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Technology, OR 2 years of military training in these fields, OR 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to wire complex circuits and perform installations on diverse plant equipment.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as volt/ohm/amp meters and oscilloscopes.
• Strong work ethic and ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work onsite in Claremont, NC.

• Experience with SAP.
• Experience in fiber manufacturing.
