What you will do

• Perform monthly close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and analytical reviews.
• Own and manage the close calendar to ensure all reporting deadlines are met and coordinate deliverables.
• Prepare quarterly (10-Q) and year-end (10-K) filings under US GAAP and statutory reporting under UK IFRS.
• Drive process improvements and automation using systems such as NetSuite, Concur, Workday Adaptive, and Workiva.
• Assist with annual UK tax filings and the preparation of R&D Tax calculations.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and processes, specifically focusing on SOX compliance.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience operating in a SOX-controlled environment or a solid understanding of internal controls frameworks.
• Valid employment rights in the UK; company cannot sponsor visas.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, regulated, or high-growth environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and accuracy.

Nice to have

• Prior experience within the biotechnology industry.
• Exposure to NetSuite, Concur, or Workiva.
