Test Automation Engineer

TL;DR

Test Automation Engineer (QA): Developing and implementing comprehensive test plans, automated scripts, and accessibility testing for federal government digital services with an accent on Playwright, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS cloud environments. Location: Must be based in the United States and available during Eastern Time (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET).

Salary: $97,200 - $104,200

What you will do

• Maintain test environments, test data, and automated testing frameworks.
• Create and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure on-time, high-quality product delivery.
• Conduct 508 accessibility testing to ensure compliance with federal requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams to define functional and system requirements.
• Manage upstream/downstream dependencies and track application defects.
• Provide production and on-call support as needed.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years to pass public trust clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in automated and manual testing, including APIs and User Acceptance Testing.
• Experience with Playwright, Gitlab, CI/CD platforms, and AWS cloud architecture.
• Experience testing responsively designed web experiences and mobile form factors.
• Strong analytical skills and effective communication for technical and project-related reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, vitest, TestNG, and JMeter.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing tools and AccelQ.
• Previous experience as a government contractor or employee.
