What you will do

  • Design and enhance advanced Kalman filters for GNSS/INS products using IMUs and various aiding sensors.
  • Develop and optimize real-time algorithms to achieve elite geospatial performance in survey and mapping.
  • Perform sophisticated error analysis and systems engineering to evaluate product performance in operational settings.
  • Lead data gathering and fine-tuning initiatives for next-generation navigation software and hardware.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and clients to define software requirements and present performance results.

Requirements

  • PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Geomatics Engineering, or Engineering Science with a focus on modern systems, control, and estimation.
  • Proven expertise in Kalman filtering and GNSS navigation within aerospace, defense, or marine inertial applications.
  • Advanced software development proficiency in C/C++ for real-time systems or .NET environments.
  • Ability to manage complex technical projects and documentation within a fast-paced engineering lifecycle.
  • Location: Must be based in Richmond Hill, Ontario (in-office).

Nice to have

  • Experience with multi-sensor fusion beyond standard GNSS/IMU integration.
  • Prior involvement in autonomous vehicle positioning or direct georeferencing for imaging devices.
  • Familiarity with post-mission mobile mapping software and hardware ecosystems.
