What you will do

• Develop scalable frontend and backend systems using AWS, K8S, Ruby on Rails, Python, and Vue.js.
• Design and implement distributed microservices with event-driven architecture using Kafka.
• Lead high-impact engineering initiatives and coordinate technical communication with product managers and stakeholders.
• Scale production Rails environments and architect new greenfield components during tech stack refactoring.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers on development best practices and complex system design.
• Own operational reliability, including monitoring, incident response, and performance tuning.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing production-grade applications with Ruby/Python (Rails, FastAPI) and Vue.js in TypeScript.
• Strong expertise in microservices architectures and event-driven systems using Kafka.
• Proficiency with MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, AWS, and Kubernetes (Helm).
• Deep understanding of data structures and distributed system design principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be based in Athens, Greece for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Hexagonal or Clean Architecture principles.
• Prior experience in the maritime or logistics domain.
• Experience with React Native and MongoDB.
• Exposure to DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions and SonarQube.
