TL;DR

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in San Francisco (office presence required 4 days per week)
Salary: $51 – $65 per hour

What you will do
- Support customer onboarding, optimization engagements, and production deployments for demanding ML use cases.
- Work on cutting-edge workloads running on advanced GPU infrastructure.
- Review and improve prior optimization strategies based on current best practices.
- Develop a structured optimization playbook and case studies to quantify field engineering value.
- Present findings and work results to company leadership.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Strong Python skills with experience in ML inference, model optimization, and benchmarking.
- Solid understanding of ML model architecture and the ability to build and debug models from scratch without AI assistance.
- Knowledge of MLOps tools, open-source models, and orchestration strategies.
- Proficiency in fine-tuning models.
- Must be based in San Francisco for 4 days per week office presence.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with LLM inference frameworks like vLLM, sgLang, Modular, or TensorRT-LLM.
- Ability to write tests for layer-wise benchmarking of ML model performance.
- Knowledge of networking, storage, and orchestration tools.
- Prior internship at an ML infrastructure, cloud, or GPU hardware company.
- Interest in solutions engineering or developer relations.
