TL;DR
Technology Director (AEM/Java): Overseeing platform development and guiding technical evolution for enterprise web solutions with an accent on architecture, team leadership, and delivery quality. Focus on managing distributed teams, implementing microservices, and optimizing enterprise CMS ecosystems.
Location: San Jose, Costa Rica; office attendance required a minimum of 3 days per week

What you will do
- Lead the platform development team in implementing enterprise architecture, technical standards, and best practices.
- Oversee Java, AEM, microservices, APIs, React, and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead Tech Leads, frontend and backend developers, QA, DevOps, and Content Authors.
- Build distributed teams and foster collaboration across locations.
- Hire, mentor, evaluate, and develop high-performing team members.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, support technical consulting and requirements gathering, and own delivery quality standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise web solutions.
- 3+ years of technical leadership on CMS-backed web projects.
- Expertise in Java and Spring Framework, with strong knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, and backend design patterns.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, database design, SQL, and data management.
- Understanding of React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive design, accessibility, SEO, and web standards.
- English proficiency at B2+ level in reading, writing, and conversation.
Nice to have
- Experience with AEM, including headful and headless implementations.
- DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of GraphQL, modern API technologies, application security, and compliance requirements.
- AEM, AWS, or Azure certifications.
