TL;DR

Technology Director (AEM/Java): Overseeing platform development and guiding technical evolution for enterprise web solutions with an accent on architecture, team leadership, and delivery quality. Location: San Jose, Costa Rica (Hybrid: minimum 3 days a week in office)

What you will do

  • Lead the platform development team in implementing technical architecture, standards, and best practices.
  • Oversee enterprise platform technologies including AEM, microservices, APIs, React, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing distributed teams of developers, QA, and DevOps.
  • Manage technical relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Contribute to business development through technical consulting and requirements gathering.
  • Own the overall delivery and development quality standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience delivering enterprise web solutions.
  • 3+ years of proven technical leadership on CMS-backed web projects.
  • Expertise in Java and Spring Framework, with a strong understanding of microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in enterprise CMS platforms, preferably AEM.
  • English proficiency: B2+ level in reading, writing, and conversation required.
  • Must be based in or be able to work from the San Jose, Costa Rica office (minimum 3 days a week).

Nice to have

  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
  • Knowledge of GraphQL and modern API technologies.
  • Experience with headful and headless AEM implementations.
  • Industry certifications in platform technologies (AEM, AWS, Azure).
