🚀 We’re Hiring: Backend Software Engineer (Java / Spring Boot)
🌍 Location: Hybrid — Kraków, Poland (STRICTLY Poland only — no relocation provided)
📅 Start: ASAP
We are looking for a strong Backend Software Engineer to join a team building enterprise-scale digital solutions for an international financial services company. You’ll be working on scalable backend systems, REST APIs, and microservices in a modern, distributed engineering environment.
⚠️ Important: Only candidates currently based in Poland will be considered. Relocation is not available.
🛠 Tech Stack
Backend: Java 8 / 11 / 17+
Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot
APIs: RESTful services, Microservices architecture
Database: SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
DevOps: Git, CI/CD pipelines
Build Tools: Maven / Gradle
Cloud (nice to have): AWS / GCP / Azure
Containers (nice to have): Docker, Kubernetes
Messaging (nice to have): Kafka / MQ
📋 What You’ll Be Doing
Designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications in Java
Building and supporting scalable REST APIs and microservices
Collaborating with product owners, architects, and engineering teams
Ensuring system reliability, security, and performance at scale
Working in Agile teams with CI/CD-driven delivery
Participating in code reviews and implementing automated testing
Supporting production systems and driving engineering best practices
🎯 What We’re Looking For
Strong commercial experience with Java (8+ / 11 / 17+)
Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot
Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture
Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL or Oracle)
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows
Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
Strong English communication skills
💡 Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of Kafka or MQ messaging systems
Background in banking or regulated financial environments
🧠 Soft Skills
