What you will do

• Design and implement scalable backend architecture and RESTful/GraphQL APIs for core financial products.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable server-side code focusing on performance, reliability, and security.
• Manage and optimize relational and non-relational databases to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, product, QA, DevOps) to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Improve engineering practices through code reviews, unit/integration testing, and refactoring legacy code.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer building scalable server-side applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Solid experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Proven experience in domain ownership.
• Hands-on experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Spring Framework (Spring Boot).
• Experience with fintech, payment processing systems, or PCI DSS compliance.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AI tools in everyday development work.
