Tech Lead (Java/Kotlin)

TL;DR

Tech Lead (Java/Kotlin): Leading the Operational Finance team to deliver financial reporting and invoicing systems with an accent on scalable distributed systems and full-stack delivery. Focus on architectural decision-making, mentoring engineers, and optimizing complex business logic in backend services.

Location: Hybrid in Poland (Łódź, Cracow, Warsaw, Gdansk). Must be based in Poland and available to travel to the office as needed.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for the Operational Finance team.
• Mentor and coach engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
• Analyze and enhance complex business logic within backend microservices based on new requirements.
• Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Translate business requirements into technical execution plans in collaboration with Product Managers.
• Oversee product support and lead the team's response to critical incidents and outages.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and operating highly available, scalable distributed systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and the Spring Framework for microservices.
• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling and tools like PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Looker.
• Strong exposure to frontend technologies, specifically React and JavaScript.
• English: Good written and spoken communication skills.
