Senior PHP Back-end Developer (Symfony)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services with PHP 8 and Symfony 6/7.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Contribute to microservices architecture, service decomposition, and legacy code refactoring.
• Improve backend scalability, reliability, performance, and production troubleshooting.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, CI/CD, and production releases.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product, and Mobile teams while mentoring junior and middle engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial PHP development and 2+ years of hands-on Symfony 6/7 production experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, REST APIs, and service-oriented or microservices architecture.
• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB, query optimization, Doctrine ORM, migrations, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and Redis, Valkey, or Memcached.
• Proficiency with Git, Docker-based environments, production debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of security fundamentals, including OWASP Top 10, IDOR, and SQL injection prevention.
• English at B2/C1 level is required for daily written communication.

Nice to have

• AWS services, Terraform or Serverless Framework, and GitLab CI/CD.
• NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
• Fintech, payments, crypto, PSP integration, or high-load backend experience.
• Go experience or interest, mentoring experience, and familiarity with LLM/AI-assisted development tools.
