TL;DR

Quality Control Associate (Cannabis): Managing quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance for medical cannabis products with an accent on GACP, GPP, and GMP standards. Focus on conducting scientific experiments, managing lab sampling, and ensuring product specifications meet international regulatory requirements.

Location: Must be based in Bradford, ON

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 CAD

What you will do

  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to HSE programs.
  • Interpret and apply regulatory, GACP, GPP, and GMP requirements across all processes.
  • Manage the sampling, submission, and lab tracking of cannabis samples for release.
  • Conduct investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results and prepare detailed reports.
  • Develop and maintain product specifications, SOPs, and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure site-level conformance.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. degree in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering, or related science.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
  • Functional understanding of HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, and spectroscopy.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and ISO quality programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
