Program Security Officer

TL;DR

Program Security Officer (Security/Compliance): Providing high-level security expertise and oversight for Special Access Programs (SAP) within the intelligence community with an accent on clearance validation, physical security accreditation, and policy compliance. Focus on managing SAPNP processes, authoring security classification guides, and ensuring strict adherence to ICD and DoD directives.

Location: On-site in Reston, VA. Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

Salary: $83,000 - $122,100 annually

What you will do

• Provide security expertise and guidance to division leadership and project staff regarding SAP security.
• Validate candidate nominations and implement processes to support program access using the Special Access Program Nomination Process (SAPNP).
• Manage control procedures, badge access for accredited spaces, and physical security requirements for SAPF accreditation.
• Oversee reporting and processing of foreign travel, foreign contacts, associates, and adverse financial matters.
• Author, review, and coordinate approvals for SAP Security Classification Guides and conduct classification reviews.
• Conduct Staff Assistance visits (SAVs) to ensure all-encompassing SAP security policy compliance.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience as a security manager for the IC or DOD.
• Experience working with JPAS, Scattered Castles, and other clearance eligibility tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Nice to have

• Experience providing all-encompassing security oversight in a Special Access Program.
• Experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO).
• Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification.
• Extensive experience with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and Department of Defense (DoD) manuals.
