Location: Hybrid in Tokyo, Japan (Anchor Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays)

What you will do
- Own end-to-end People Operations execution globally, specifically for the APAC timezone.
- Coordinate onboarding and off-boarding processes, including HRIS setup and background checks.
- Operationalize Japan-specific compliance, social insurance administration, and labor audits.
- Manage day-to-day HRIS transactions and resolve employee requests via the ticketing system.
- Maintain compliance standards (SOC2) and manage employee files and audits.
- Partner with Recruiting, Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless operational execution.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in People/HR Operations within a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English (essential for documentation and communication).
- Proficiency with Workday (HCM) and other people management tools.
- Must hold or obtain a Class 2 Occupational Health Manager License within one year.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive data with discretion.
- Proven ability to collaborate across different functions and time zones.
Nice to have
- Experience with Japan-specific HR rhythms (social insurance, leave admin).
- Experience supporting a global workforce and contingent workers.
