What you will do

  • Partner with HRBP to advise managers and employees on performance management processes.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and resolve related issues.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on job leveling, role descriptions, and offers.
  • Support compliance with the Japan Labor Standards Act and internal Work Rules.
  • Provide administrative support for monthly payroll processing and social insurance procedures.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role in Japan.
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English (written and verbal) are required for communication with global stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of Japanese labor laws and social insurance systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • HR experience within a global SaaS organization.
  • Experience using G-Suite, Workday, and Culture Amp.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization across multiple time zones.
