TL;DR

Malay Translation & Localization Specialist (Gamedev): Translating and localizing gaming content, marketing materials, and support articles for the Malay market with an accent on linguistic quality and gaming context. Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)

Salary: $29.80 - $36.05 per hour

What you will do

  • Translate written materials including new game releases, marketing content, and customer-facing literature.
  • Localize support knowledge base articles to ensure high quality for Malay-speaking users.
  • Manage short-term and long-term projects while effectively reprioritizing workflows.
  • Collaborate within a team-driven environment to meet tight deadlines and handle last-minute changes.
  • Utilize CAT tools to maintain consistency and efficiency in translation.

Requirements

  • Native proficiency in Malay (written and verbal) with exceptional grammar skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in translation, localization, linguistics, or game design.
  • Professional experience in gaming translation and localization.
  • Proficiency with CAT tools such as Crowdin, MemoQ, Memsource, or SDL Trados.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.

Nice to have

  • Passion for PC or console gaming.
  • Familiarity with game design, software development, or computer hardware.
  • Knowledge of game distribution platforms and various game genres.
