What you will do

• Complete remote, online notarizations for customer documents.
• Verify authenticity and signer identity according to Virginia commissioning state requirements.
• Explain the notarization procedure to clients and ensure signer understanding and willingness to sign.
• Review documents for completeness and correct certificate wording; administer acknowledgement and jurat acts.
• Record notarizations in a digital notary journal as required by state law.
• Use an account portal to manage communication and provide feedback to improve features, improvements, and bug fixes; assist with testing/QA when needed.

Requirements

• Valid Electronic Notary Public certification in Virginia.
• Commissioned Notary Public in Virginia.
• More than 6 months of experience in a Remote Online Notary Public role handling confidential customer documents.
• Minimum $25,000 error and omission (E&O) insurance coverage.
• Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Technically savvy with ability to learn internal tools; reliable attendance and punctuality; must have a desktop/laptop, webcam, microphone, and high-speed internet.
