TL;DR

Senior Validation Engineer (IoT RF): Developing and validating wireless SoC RF performance with an accent on radiated and conducted measurements and DSP design. Focus on silicon bring-up, creating scalable test architectures, and optimizing wireless PHY and MAC layer IPs.

What you will do

• Bring-up and validate new hirify.global IP on silicon, providing support and feedback to cross-functional teams.
• Perform RF hardware testing across different IP levels, from building blocks to system-level feature testing.
• Develop system-level RF test architectures and scalable methodologies for new wireless features.
• Define and manage cross-layer validation requirements from PHY to application level.
• Create and modify tests within the test software framework.
• Lead complex system-level debugging and develop advanced validation tools for multi-protocol wireless and RF front-end solutions.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering with 6+ or 4+ years of relevant experience, respectively.
• Strong grasp of analog and digital signal fundamentals, basic circuit components, and measurement methods.
• Advanced knowledge of RF signal chains including LNAs, mixers, PAs, A/D and D/A converters.
• Proficiency with standard RF lab instruments (signal generator, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, scope, DMM, supply).
• High proficiency in hardware testing, from planning to data review.
• Experience using Python or other high-level modeling languages and AI-powered tools for productivity.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of wireless standards such as Bluetooth Low-Energy, 802.15.4 (Zigbee-Thread), and 802.11 WiFi.
• Experience with revision control and code management systems (GitLab, GitHub, or BitBucket).
• Basic DSP knowledge including FIR filtering and up/down sampling.
• Experience leading a technical team of 3-5 people to achieve project milestones.
