What you will do

• Drive the design and architecture of new product features for networking hardware.
• Write and own the implementation of low-level code driving product functionality.
• Perform testing, documentation, and debugging of software in embedded environments.
• Collaborate on the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering to final delivery.
• Work alongside field teams and customers to resolve complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Budapest, Hungary
• 3+ years of strong industry experience in software engineering.
• Extensive background in algorithms and software architecture.
• Fluency in C/C++ programming.
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems and hardware abstraction layers.
• Experience with forwarding ASICs, FPGAs, or network processors.

Nice to have

• Experience in Network Systems Software development.
• Knowledge of datapath forwarding protocols like EVPN MPLS, VXLAN, or QoS.
• Proficiency in Python.
