What you will do

• Lead the technical design, development, operation, and full lifecycle management of a global data lakehouse platform.
• Shape the technology roadmap, including modernization, technology changes, technical debt, and platform decommissioning.
• Own solution design, security concepts, interface agreements, architecture alignment, and validation of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Coordinate application releases and production go-live decisions with Product Owners, the Platform Owner, the System Architect, and IT Service Owners.
• Supervise infrastructure and data development, promoting automation, unit testing, CI/CD, and shift-left practices.
• Provide third-level support, manage master data responsibilities, oversee suppliers, and support risk assessment, budgeting, and incident resolution.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience with data platforms, data lakes, or data lakehouses.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, distributed storage such as S3 or HDFS, VM and pod scaling, Docker, Harbor, and CI/CD image delivery.
• Several years of experience in a similar technical leadership capacity within the financial industry.
• Experience managing the complete platform lifecycle from concept and design through deployment, operation, incident support, release coordination, and retirement.
• Higher education in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification, along with strong communication, planning, and coordination skills.
• Good written and verbal English is required. German is an advantage.
