What you will do

• Design and maintain online feature flows including authentication, progression, and matchmaking.
• Integrate game client systems with backend services to ensure reliable data flow.
• Define and maintain clear interfaces between client systems and backend services.
• Ensure consistent state across client and service boundaries, handling latency and partial failures.
• Optimize systems for network efficiency, responsiveness, and minimal performance impact.
• Collaborate with gameplay, UI, backend, and QA teams to deliver cohesive technical outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong experience developing in Unreal Engine using C++ with a focus on online or multiplayer systems.
• Experience integrating online services or backend platforms within a game client.
• Understanding of service-based architectures, asynchronous flows, and state management.
• Ability to debug and resolve issues in complex client-service interactions.
• Experience identifying and addressing performance issues related to network usage and latency.
• Excellent communication skills for effective cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Pragma platform or similar backend solutions.
• Backend development experience using Kotlin or other JVM-based languages.
• Console development experience and awareness of platform certification requirements.
• Knowledge of relational databases, particularly MySQL.
