Calibration Lab Technician

TL;DR

Calibration Lab Technician: Performing general maintenance tasks in the laboratories including maintenance of equipment, consumables and quality control checks. Assist more senior technicians and chemists in the management, preparation, testing and analysis of samples with an accent on performing Laboratory Testing and produce test data on standard format worksheets. Focus on performing test data calculations, plot results and prepare test reports to be checked by a Senior Technician, Calibration Engineer, Laboratory Supervisor or Laboratory Manager.

What you will do

• Collect and prepare samples to be tested, register, test, store, and dispose of them in accordance with applicable standard laboratory quality procedures.
• Perform Laboratory Testing and produce test data on standard format worksheets in a precise and timely manner in accordance with standard procedure, and sign the worksheets at the completion of a test.
• Perform test data calculations, plot results and prepare test reports to be checked by a Senior Technician, Calibration Engineer, Laboratory Supervisor or Laboratory Manager.
• Perform an independent check of test data worksheets completed by other technicians and sign the worksheet as checked.
• Ensure all required equipment is in good working order and calibrations are up to date; carry out routine maintenance as well as performance checks, when required.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the laboratory.

Requirements

• A Engineering degree/diploma in associated discipline
• At least 1 year experience of working in a similarly disciplined laboratory will be beneficial.
• A valid driving license in Saudi Arabia is required
