TL;DR
Principal Engineer (Platform Engineering): Stabilizing, scaling, and operating critical applications moving to production with an accent on observability, incident management, and cloud-native platforms. Focus on reducing MTTR through deep technical expertise in OpenShift, designing advanced monitoring dashboards, and driving SRE automation.
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in-office) in Irving, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Minneapolis, MN

What you will do
- Lead production support for a portfolio of 20+ applications to ensure stability, performance, and rapid issue resolution.
- Design and build advanced observability dashboards and alerting systems using Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, and Prometheus.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed microservices environments to reduce MTTR.
- Drive the adoption of modern SRE practices, including AIOps and intelligent monitoring solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams during release cycles to provide production-readiness guidance.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure operational excellence and application health.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in platform and production support.
- 5+ years of experience with RedHat Linux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Java, microservices, Spring Boot, and Python.
- 5+ years of experience creating observability dashboards (Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics).
- Experience with AIOps, ServiceNow, and BigPanda for incident handling.
- 4+ years of experience with React.js, Apache, Kafka, and relational databases.
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office) in Irving, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Minneapolis, MN.
Nice to have
- Prior development experience in Java-based ecosystems.
- Professional experience within the financial services industry.
