What you will do

• Design and modernize backend services to replace legacy mainframe functionality.
• Build and maintain data ingestion, validation, and transformation pipelines using Python and PySpark.
• Develop and support APIs using FastAPI and Flask.
• Contribute to frontend development using React and Angular as needed.
• Act as a technical SME, mentoring engineers transitioning from mainframe technologies.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity for financial feeds flowing into general ledger systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python with production experience using PySpark.
• Backend experience with FastAPI or Flask.
• Frontend experience with React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Exadata, and Kafka.
• Must be based in San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain).
• Knowledge of financial institutions or enterprise accounting environments.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS Glue, Lambda, Redshift).
• Containerization and orchestration skills (Kubernetes).
