TL;DR
Software Developer (Node.js/React): Developing new features and enhancements for a business-to-government marketplace with an accent on building robust front-end web apps and back-end services. Focus on implementing rich user experiences, optimizing platform performance, and applying security best practices.
Location: Hybrid (Oakville, ON) - Must be in office 3 days/week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Salary: $94,200 - $117,700

What you will do
- Design and develop new features and enhancements for a first-in-class B2G marketplace.
- Build front-end web applications and back-end services based on detailed technical designs.
- Develop tests and metrics to ensure successful delivery and monitor real-time platform performance.
- Collaborate with product and support teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to team success through thoughtful code reviews and thorough documentation.
- Execute SDLC and security best practices to maintain a robust and secure platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven track record with Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Technical experience with React, AngularJS, PHP, Python, or MySQL.
- Experience working within a cloud environment, specifically AWS.
- Proficiency with SQL and collaboration tools like JIRA and Git.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with web testing and accessibility tools such as Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or axe.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum or Kanban.
- Curiosity and commitment to using AI tools to augment professional expertise.
