TL;DR

End-To-End Product QA Engineer (Automotive): Delivering complex connected vehicle features through end-to-end quality assurance with an accent on embedded software testing and cross-functional integration. Focus on developing test methodologies, implementing automation scripts, and optimizing testing workflows through simulation and virtualization.

Location: Onsite in Warren, Michigan. GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.

What you will do

  • Execute comprehensive end-to-end quality assurance for new and existing product features.
  • Strategize and implement QA plans aligned with project timelines, product design, and technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation scripts to streamline testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and apply new testing methodologies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost and accelerate delivery.
  • Partner with development teams to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded software testing.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Artifactory.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Must not require immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, STEM OPT, etc.) now or in the future.
  • Must be able to work full-time onsite in Warren, Michigan.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Programming proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with Robot Framework for automation.
  • Experience testing Android-based applications.
  • Background in end-to-end testing of complex systems involving vehicle, cloud, and customer-facing interfaces.
