TL;DR
Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer (SystemVerilog/UVM): Ensuring architectural correctness and functional robustness of ’s Atom CPU designs before first silicon with an accent on pre-silicon functional verification of complex CPU and SoC logic. Focus on developing UVM environments, debugging complex RTL issues, and collaborating cross-functionally to optimize power and performance.
Location: Hybrid; Must be based in or be able to work from Austin, TX or Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $141,910 - $200,340

What you will do
- Lead pre-silicon functional verification of complex CPU and SoC logic to ensure full architectural compliance.
- Develop and execute verification plans, testbenches, and SystemVerilog/UVM environments for coverage closure.
- Analyze system-level simulations to uncover functional, performance, and power corner-case issues.
- Debug and root-cause complex RTL and microarchitecture issues in collaboration with design teams.
- Influence architecture definitions by providing early verification feedback and identifying design risks.
- Maintain, enhance, and scale verification infrastructure and automation methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 4+ years of experience, or Master's with 2+ years.
- Expertise in Design Verification methodologies using SystemVerilog, UVM, and industry-standard EDA tools.
- Proven experience in pre-silicon verification of CPU, SoC, or complex IP designs.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Strong debugging skills with C/C++ and Linux-based simulation environments.
- Proficiency in Python or Perl scripting for automation and verification efficiency.
- Deep understanding of CPU microarchitecture and computer architecture concepts.
- Experience with system boot flows and low-power state transitions.
