Senior SDET (Medtech)

TL;DR

Senior SDET (Medtech): Building and evolving robust test automation frameworks for a cloud-based clinical system with an accent on API, ETL, and non-functional testing. Focus on driving shift-left testing culture, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high-quality product delivery through automated pipelines.

Location: Must be based in the UK or EU within +/- 2 hours of the GMT time zone. Hybrid work is available with occasional travel to the London office.

Salary: £65,000–£75,000

What you will do

• Create and maintain automated tests using Cypress.io, Python, and backend testing tools.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the evolution of the test automation framework.
• Conduct POCs for non-functional testing and integrate AI evaluation strategies.
• Deploy tickets to test and production environments using BitBucket pipelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers and DevOps to improve data deployment processes.
• Champion shift-left testing practices and coach junior team members on quality ownership.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK or EU within +/- 2 hours of the GMT time zone.
• 5+ years of professional experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer.
• Commercial experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Python automation frameworks.
• Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong background in API testing and familiarity with E2E testing using POM and BDD.
• Experience driving shift-left testing culture and coaching engineering teams.
• Familiarity with AI testing and evaluation strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with PySpark, Artillery, or K6.
• Exposure to AWS, Jenkins, DataDog, and Databricks.
• French language proficiency.
