Internal Audit Intern

TL;DR

Internal Audit Intern (Finance): Assisting in the execution of internal control, financial, compliance, and operational audits with an accent on SOX 404 testing and audit documentation. Focus on supporting the audit lifecycle, performing data analytics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure organizational compliance.

Location: Must be based in Plainview, NY (Onsite)

What you will do

• Support SOX 404 compliance assessment and testing activities.
• Assist in forming and documenting audit test plans and preparing document request lists.
• Perform attribute testing and document findings for assigned audits.
• Utilize data analytics scripts to develop audit test steps.
• Organize and maintain IA databases and work-paper folders.
• Assist with logistics and planning for audit trips and departmental meetings.

Requirements

• Must be a Junior or higher (or within 1 semester of completing sophomore year) in an Accounting program.
• Must be eligible to legally work in the US.
• Must be able to work onsite in Plainview, NY.
• Must be available for at least 16 hours/week during semesters and 40 hours/week during breaks.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Interest in US GAAP and IIA Standards.
