TL;DR
In Vehicle Engine Calibration Engineer (Automotive): Developing and validating engine calibration parameter datasets across the full vehicle development lifecycle with an accent on regulatory compliance, system performance, and diagnostic calibrations. Focus on executing in-vehicle and laboratory data collection, solving complex calibration issues, and optimizing performance targets.
Location: Hybrid (Required to be on site 3x/week in Indaiatuba, São Paulo). No immigration sponsorship or relocation benefits provided.

What you will do
- Develop and execute engine calibration plans to achieve program objectives.
- Create and validate calibration datasets to meet performance, emissions, and regulatory targets.
- Lead diagnosis and resolution of calibration-related issues using structured problem-solving methods.
- Plan and support test bench and vehicle testing activities, including data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with Product Development Teams to improve calibration quality, timing, and execution.
- Improve post-processing tools and apply model-based and data-driven methods for efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or similar.
- Experience with calibration tools such as INCA, Vehicle Spy, CRETA, MDA, and/or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with government regulations and drive cycles (FTP, US06, WLTP, RDE).
- English: Advanced (C1) proficiency required.
- Proven experience in vehicle/powertrain calibration and correlated areas.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Visual Basic, C, C++, or Python.
