What you will do

• Create physically-based materials and textures for props, environments, and characters.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive material libraries and production pipelines.
• Collaborate with other artists to integrate assets into a visually consistent and immersive world.
• Align work with established art styles while contributing to the overall visual direction.
• Mentor junior artists on technical processes, techniques, and workflows.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating proficiency in procedural and 3D sculpted materials, including tiled textures and 0-1 UV mapped assets.
• Solid technical understanding of PBR standards and surface/light interactions.
• Strong expertise in Unreal Engine, Substance Designer, and Substance Painter.
• Proficiency in Maya (or other 3D modeling packages) and Zbrush.
• Strong foundation in traditional arts and a solid understanding of color theory.
• Professional traits: punctual, diligent, articulate, and organized.

Nice to have

• Experience leading other artists.
• Shipped 2+ AAA titles specifically as a material artist.
• Experience working with proprietary editors and software tools.
